Description:
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the plant is meeting production capacity, inventory targets, and that product shipments are on time, complete, and correct.
- Ensure all products meet quality requirements, and support the quality assurance processes in the facility.
- Manage the functions of production, receiving, shipping, and production planning.
- Provide leadership and vision in the area of lean practices implementation and continuous improvement culture.
- Provide leadership to ensure projects are completed on time and the team provides value to its customers.
- Manage records, communicate plant information and generate reporting, as requested by the Plant Manager and corporate headquarters.
- Work with the Plant Manager on staffing needs, including hiring and termination decisions, and ensure such practices conform to ethical and legal standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or technical discipline with concentration in supply chain, production, or operations management a plus.
- Minimum five years of manufacturing management experience with knowledge of production processes in high volume seasonal manufacturing plant.
- Demonstrated expertise in lean manufacturing. Knowledge of process control, quality assurance, and manufacturing application in a production environment.
- Thorough understanding of Bill-of-Material structures, labor operations, and overhead principles.
- Highly motivated and organized with ability to function successfully in fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
- Demonstrated strong leadership and people management/ development skills to be a change agent.
- Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written – with all levels of the organization.
- Bi-Lingual in Spanish strongly preferred, but not required.
