Description:

The Electro-Mechanical Engineer  will provide expertise across the Arden  manufacturing network and  oversee all major mechanical and process control system and maintenance activities including system improvements, troubleshooting, root cause determination, and corrective action implementation.  The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and upgrading Arden’s systems to assure safety, regulatory compliance, operational efficiency and cost minimization.  The Electro-Mechanical Engineer will work closely in a team based environment with the facility manager, plant managers, and maintenance managers/supervisors to create and maintain safe, compliant, efficient, and effective equipment and processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expertise in electro-mechanical system designs, implementation and continuous improvement.
  • Help test, debug, and revise current and new equipment.
  • Lead or contribute to the implementation of new technologies, systems, and equipment.
  • Perform root cause analyses and system level validation for all electrical and mechanical equipment components.
  • Identify processes and equipment critical to ensure safety, environmental sustainability, and operational performance.
  • With operations staff, develop and implement a Preventive Maintenance system consisting of planned inspections, servicing, measuring and monitoring of critical equipment.
  • Maintain engineering drawings and documentation for systems and equipment for all global sites.
  • Develop and implement contingency plans in case of equipment failure.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronic or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum one year work experience in control system, electrical or electro-mechanical equipment and components.
  • Strong aptitude and demonstrated competency working with electro-mechanical components and systems found in heavy industrial machines, equipment and facilities and familiarity with high power and high voltage technologies and associated components.
  • Ability to analyze and solve technical problems quickly and effectively.
  • Computer competency in working with and developing system solutions, including Siemens and Allen Bradley PLC systems.
  • Ability to quickly learn and master all aspects of system, demonstrate excellent judgment and initiative.
  • Excellent team work and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 33% level.
