Primary Responsibilities
- Work with cross-functional teams to model business requirements and drive functional and process improvements within the SAP Enterprise System, SAP Supply Chain Management system, Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), and other integrated manufacturing and customer relationship systems.
- Participate in the full system development life cycle from requirements gathering through technical design and development, to implementation and user support.
- Analyze business requirements for customer compliance, business processing, productivity enhancement, and analytic report tools. Design feasible technical solutions within budget and meeting time constraints.
- Design and develop application programs using SAP ABAP programming language, SQL server, and other programming tools.
- Within the SAP ERP application development environment, employ tools such as data dictionary, dialog programming, open SQL, interactive reporting, modular programming constructs including object oriented development, BADI, BAPI, Debugger, system performance analyzer, and forms development tools such as Adobe Interactive Forms and Smartforms.
- Create and maintain business process documentation, technical documentation, and user guides.
- Provide business user support for all aspects of the global SAP implementation including Sales and Distribution, Retail EDI, Manufacturing Planning and Execution, Replenishment, Inventory Control, Finance, and Product Costing.
Must Have – Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Computer Engineering or another related discipline.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a business analyst or software developer working with SAP.
- Experience working with SQL/RDBMS, data modeling, and data management.
- Understanding of and experience with standard software quality assurance and testing processes and methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and proactively within tight, concurrent deadlines with accuracy.
Preferred – Skills
- Technical experience working with and/or supporting EDI.
- Experience as a business analyst in a fashion or soft goods industry – very helpful.
- Familiarity with business data concepts such as bill of material, routing, etc.
- A desire to learn about and manage the full stack of software and hardware for a system.
