This position is based in Victorville, CA – travel is not expected for this role

Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver site recruitment plan, interviews, hiring, retention, disciplinary actions, terminations and the seasonal lay-off process in accordance with legal and company HR Audit guidelines.
Conduct orientation and training sessions for new and existing employees.
Manage benefits and other HR administrative duties such as; Workers Compensation, 401k, and Unemployment.
Serve as a key member of the plant Safety Committee; advise and make recommendations to ensure a proactive program that supports Arden’s commitment to providing the safest working environment possible.
Serve as the driving force in development, implementation and supervision of the employee training programs.
Provide support and guidance through strong working relationship will all facility employees.
Present current and prospective employees with pertinent information regarding job responsibilities, company policies, plant rules, wages, benefits and job opportunities.

Proactively partner with corporate leaders and the HR team to of ensure compliance with company policies and mandates.
Develop a strong understanding of the manufacturing processes in order to understand critical skills and personnel needed to optimize plant performance.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with individuals and organizations outside the company to ensure a positive company image and community involvement. (e.g. educational institutions, local employers, civic organizations, employment agencies, social groups, etc.).
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in the field of Human Resources, is required.
Minimum of five years of experience in HR management at a plant and/or corporate level required, experience in distribution or manufacturing environments strongly preferred.
Bilingual (Spanish) strongly required.
Strong leadership, implementation, and organizational skills.
Thorough knowledge of safety, recruiting, interviewing, training, organizational development, policies, and benefits.
Thorough knowledge of employment compliance requirements, i.e. I-9, e-verify, and labor laws.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with ability to quickly learn other computer software as needed. (e.g. payroll).
