Description

The Shipping/Receiving Supervisor will oversee the eCommerce Shipping and Loading teams, the inbound and outbound movements of product and components, direct the inside eCommerce CDL drivers, and communicate with the outside carriers. This position will oversee the On Time, Complete, and Correct ecommerce drop shipments, the interplant movement of components and finished goods to support these shipments, and provide feedback to include any concerns or suggestions to improve safety and the work assignment(s) of personnel involved with these movements.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide Leadership and Support in promoting, implementing, and improvement of all Safety policies, programs, emergency response, accident/incident reporting and investigation and 5s initiatives to ensure the health and safety of all employees.
  • Lead the eCommerce shippers and truck loaders to ensure efficiency and accuracy in the handling of orders.
  • Plan, execute, and communicate ship volumes and pickup timing with outside carriers.
  • Oversee eCommerce inbound receiving of components and product movements across-campus, ensuring safe and efficient practices of drivers to support the fulfillment of customer orders.
  • Demonstrates proficiency and leadership in conflict resolution with expectations, application and follow up.
  • Develop and reinforce company policies, practices and procedures.
  • Coordinate with management on staffing issues, call-outs, sick-time and scheduling of personnel.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring of shipping personnel with regards to training, retraining and cross-training, and provide performance feedback to employees both formally and informally.
  • Make assignments to crew, matching skill sets with required roles. Ensure accuracy of time sheets and reconcile to ADP online eTime.
  • Troubleshoot roadblocks and bottlenecks by suggesting new ideas and remedies.
  • Demonstrate integrity and ensures work standards and operating guidelines are followed while maintaining productivity levels through fair and consistent supervision of assigned personnel.
  • Ensure all Quality requirements are followed, respond appropriately to Quality in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate care and integrity with Arden owned property, equipment and supplies. Provide backup support to the other eCommerce supervisors and assist to keep the buildings and property secure.
  • Exhibit flexibility in an ever changing work environment that is focused on our customers’ needs. Maintain momentum during order volume changes and increases.
  • Responsible for Housekeeping and 7w/5s initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

 

Requirements

  • Knowledge and/or applicable job experience in eCommerce Order Shipping.
  • Must have a passion for employee health & safety, manufacturing and continuous improvement in a high-performance culture.
  • Professional demeanor and positive interaction with others.
  • Strong communication skills at multiple levels, Bilingual (English & Spanish) is a plus.
  • Analytical and strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to motivate self and others to succeed in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • ERP process experience needed (SAP is a plus).
  • Valid Driver License required to travel to other local Arden buildings, & must provide own means of transportation.
  • Ability and willingness to train to be a backup Motorized equipment operator (Pallet jack, Fork Lift, Clamp Truck, Reach Truck).
  • Associates degree or equivalent manufacturing / distribution knowledge
  • Minimum three years manufacturing experience.
  • Demonstrate accuracy in work, attention to detail, ability to execute quickly and prioritize work load.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience.
