Description

Friendly, fast paced, safety minded manufacturing team with loads of character, passionate about outdoor replacement cushions, seeking like-minded Bilingual Human Resource Manager to join our leadership team!  An advanced degree in Rocket Science is not needed, but a Bachelor Degree in Human Resources or related field is required.

General Information

  • Our base schedule is Monday – Friday, 7am – 3:30pm
  • Diverse mix of employees, spread across FIVE local facilities, approximately 250 employees during peak season
  • We’re traditional at heart, but learning to be more progressive – ideas welcome!
  • This position is based in Sanford, NC – regular travel outside the state is not expected for this role
  • *You don’t actually need to be able to leap a roll of poly in a single bound – that would be dangerous and counter-productive to our safety goals. Sanford has gone seven years without a lost time accident!

 

Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, succession planning, employee relations and retention, AA/EEO compliance, and labor relations; completing daily routine employee transactions.
  • Improves manager and employee performance by identifying and clarifying problems; evaluating potential solutions; implementing selected solution; coaching and counseling managers and employees, with support of HR Manager and Plant Manager.
  • Manages expectations by communicating project status and issues; resolving concerns; analyzing time and cost issues; preparing reports, and delivering results.
  • Proactively partners with plant and corporate leaders and the HR team ensuring compliance with company policies and mandates, recommending modifications as needed.
  • Accepts ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; proactively exploring opportunities to add value to the organization.
  • Protects rights of employees and organization by keeping confidential information confidential.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions

 

Requirements

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
  • Bachelor’s degree is required; preferably in the field of Human Resources or related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in HR experience in a manufacturing environment is required; experience in distribution or textile environments strongly preferred.
  • Strong leadership, implementation, and organizational skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of core Human Resource competencies; SHRM certifications preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with ability to quickly learn other computer software as needed. (e.g. ADP WFN, Carrier Sites, etc).
