Description

The IT Analyst Co-Op will be responsible for daily technical support of the IT infrastructure, including troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving issues related to the virtual environment, LAN/WAN and enterprise systems. Successful candidates must be eager to learn, apply new technologies and solutions and effectively communicate with clients and/or other teams to resolve simple and complex technical issues.

 

Responsibilities

  • Monitor VM and server health, maintain service pack levels, anti-virus, etc.
  • Coordinate maintenance and system changes to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Support day to day management of Windows Active Directory, Microsoft Server Clustering Services, VMware environment, and virtual servers.
  • Support Application Deployment Team with server/client software.
  • Support field technicians and help desk personnel by resolving escalated issues.
  • Assist in education and training of new technology within IT department and to end users.
  • Assist in evaluating the impact of new software and client/server applications on current infrastructure.
  • Develop test plans to verify logic of new or modified programs.
  • Create technical documentation and user guides.
  • Will gain field experience in resolving Exchange, VMware Environment, LAN/WAN, hardware and software issues and troubleshooting and maintaining routers and switches in a multi-site enterprise IP network.
  • Exposure to a working SAP environment.
  • Experience monitoring progress of projects and working independently and proactively within tight, concurrent deadlines with accuracy.

 

Requirements

  • Open to student co-ops/internships only.
  • Student’s at any level may apply, looking for a long term commitment from our co-ops (2 or more terms).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively internally and externally in a team environment.

 

Pay $14-20/hr depending on individual student ability and seniority in program of study.
