Description
Reporting to the Vice President of eCommerce, the Manager, Product & Brand will hold a critically important position in managing all aspects of creating and launching new categories and products online while developing and maintaining channel specific eCommerce retailer relationships. The Manager is responsible for researching and identifying the competitive marketplace, creating line plans, and working with a cross functional team to bring the lines to market. The Manager will need to possess strong leadership, project management, analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills with the ability to flawlessly execute these skills both within the company and with our Arden branded accounts.
Responsibilities
- Act as a merchant for specific and new Arden branded categories and products online
- Create branded product assortments to help drive business growth and profitability
- Conduct internal product line reviews for new programs
- Maintain responsibility for product & brand sales goals
- Report regularly on product & brand sales initiatives and metrics
- Manage customer relations including:
- Pursuing new category-relevant accounts and marketplaces
- Selling branded product lines to existing accounts
- Managing customer data exchange alignment with launch processes and timing
- Maintaining relationships with buyers at retailers post-sale including staying up-to-date with site-specific details, advertising, price promotions, etc.
- Facilitating and answering day-to-day client inquiries and issues in an efficient and effective manner
- Keeping track of retailer and marketplace specific requirements
- Work with the Digital Content & Studio teams to support new product launches with necessary advertising campaigns
- Review and approve product specific details for items within eCommerce assortments
- Ensure that internal cross functional teams have everything they need from the retailer or marketplace to launch their programs successfully and in a cost-effective, efficient manner
- Manage program development calendar deadlines for critical approvals
- Provide problem solving for sales and service issues and communicate resolution to all impacted retailers and departments
- Become an expert in Arden’s categories and product champion working with the eCommerce and Marketing teams to conducting necessary market research, competitive analysis, and consumer research
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a business related field.
- 2+ years work experience in an eCommerce position.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively both internally and externally.
- Ability to function and lead in a collaborative long distance team environment; self-directed, motivated and highly flexible.
- Creative and analytic thinker who can easily manage multiple tasks and prioritize work within tight, concurrent deadlines.
- Well versed in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Salesforce experience is a plus.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis.
