Description
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician will work directly with the production teams to provided maintenance services to ensure On Time, Complete and Correct finishing of our outdoor lifestyle products. Successful candidates must have a passion for repairing and fabricating manufacturing equipment and safety items in a high performance culture. Responsibilities
The MMT is responsible for the following:
- Administers all records, preventive maintenance, repairs, equipment needs, and generates reporting information for management.
- Creates and maintains tools and equipment needed; responsible for the care and inventory of said tools and equipment.
- Formulates and analyzes cost of tools, parts and supplies.
- Participates in all programs as specified by management such as safety meetings, staff meetings, applicable training, etc.
- Coordinate activities with supervisors and management members as needed.
- Maintains and monitors safety checks on equipment and plant.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
- Repair and complete preventative maintenance of equipment, facilities and grounds.
- Actively participate in troubleshooting and problems solving regarding equipment, facilities and grounds by proactively providing recommendations and taking initiative to bring concerns to the forefront before they become issues.
- Housekeeping – All employees share the responsibility of insuring that everyone has a clean, safe and healthy environment in which to work. Therefore, it is expected and required of each employee to maintain assigned work area(s) and show consideration for others in the use of facilities such as break-rooms and restrooms.
Requirements
- Associates degree or equivalent in experience required.
- Minimum three years maintenance experience in equipment repair, welding, electrical and plumbing required.
- Knowledge of sewing machine repair a plus.
- Must demonstrate accuracy in work, attention to detail, ability to execute quickly and prioritize work load.
- Motivated individual with proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced and ever changing environment.
- Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Candidate must be eligible to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis.
