Description
This position will oversee all aspects of 2nd shift production. Responsible for a safe work environment. Collaboration with other members of the supply chain, e.g. planning, operations, warehouse and shipping teams is critical to achieve On Time, Complete, and Correct objectives. This Production Supervisor will be responsible for continually driving process improvements in functional areas of responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Provide Leadership and Support in promoting, implementing, and improvement of all Safety policies, programs, emergency response, accident/incident reporting and investigation and 5s initiatives to ensure the health and safety of all employees.
- Lead the production team to ensure efficiency and quality of work.
- Demonstrates proficiency and leadership in conflict resolution with expectations, application and follow up.
- Reinforce company policies, practices and procedures.
- Coordinate with management on staffing issues, call-outs, sick-time and scheduling of personnel.
- Provide coaching and mentoring of personnel with regards to training, retraining and cross-training, and provide performance feedback to employees both formally and informally.
- Ensure accuracy of time sheets and reconcile to ADP online eTime.
- Demonstrate integrity and ensures work standards and operating guidelines are followed while maintaining productivity levels through fair and consistent supervision of assigned personnel.
- Ensure all Quality requirements are followed, respond appropriately to Quality in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate care and integrity with Arden owned property, equipment and supplies.
- Responsible for Housekeeping.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Must demonstrate a passion for continuous improvement in all area such as health & safety, productivity, quality, and raw material utilization in a high-performance culture.
- Strong communication skills required. Bi-Lingual (Spanish) is a plus.
- Analytical and strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Must demonstrate accuracy in work, attention to detail, ability to execute quickly, and organizational skills.
- Experience in production processes in a high- volume manufacturing plant.
- Valid Driver License required to travel to other local Arden buildings, & must provide own means of transportation.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent manufacturing experience required.
- Minimum three years of production experience in high volume manufacturing plant.
- Minimum three years of supervisory experience in manufacturing.
