Description

Reporting to the Director eCommerce – Eastern Operations, the Planner/Analyst will be responsible for preparing and maintaining production schedules to the finishing supervisor, prioritizing the daily production planning for each shift, and review of incoming orders to direct the manufacture of “made-to-order” products required for direct shipment to customers.  Must have a passion for ensuring employee safety, On-time, Complete, and Correct results that will enable the plant to satisfy its customers. Must also have strong analytical abilities, knowledge of ERP systems, and Excel. The candidate should have a continuous improvement mindset, effective communication and relationship building skills.

 

Responsibilities

  • Create and distribute the daily/weekly production plan based on the master schedule. Ensure the production team and shift supervisors have clarity on production priorities
  • Daily follow-up to ensure the production plan is being fulfilled
  • Reprioritize and reschedule as necessary to meet planned targets and open orders
  • Oversee cycle-counting processes and make appropriate inventory adjustments in SAP when necessary
  • Coordinate and communicate across multiple internal departments
  • Work with Corporate Purchasing and the eCommerce Corporate Planner to optimize material flow to support 100% on time, complete and correct filling and shipping of orders
  • Assist Director of eCommerce to develop and document new and improved processes for planning methodologies
  • Oversee departmental Safety and conduct departmental Safety Training
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Requirements

  • Degree in business or other related discipline (Supply Chain, Production Management/Planning) or 5 years of experience in a Manufacturing Planning role
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment and planning production using ERP tools; preferably SAP
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to function in a team environment and to participate on cross-functional teams
  • Effective communication skills with all levels of the organization
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) preferred
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work within concurrent deadlines
