Arden Companies, a growing and leading manufacturer and distributor of Patio and Outdoor Lifestyle products to the leading retailers in the USA and Canada, has an exciting opportunity for a Bilingual Production Supervisor to be based in Victorville, CA.
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Supervisor will lead the manufacturing team in Victorville’s high-volume production areas and work with the planning, manufacturing, and quality teams to achieve the goals of the plant. The Supervisor will be responsible for issuing the daily production schedule and ensuring manufacturing processes are followed in line with all safety and quality practices. This position will be responsible for driving process improvements in the manufacturing area as well as in support functions.
Responsibilities
• Ensure the plant is meeting production schedules, inventory targets, and customer quality requirements.
• Provide leadership and strategic direction to the production floor
• Drive continuous improvement in safety, productivity, quality, raw material utilization, operating costs, and on-time delivery.
• Manage lead employees in designated areas to execute the defined production plan on time.
• Manage and report levels of raw materials, WIP inventory, and finished goods as needed.
• Work closely with Shipping and Receiving managers to ensure a smooth flow of goods.
• Ensure all products meet quality requirements working with cross functional teams.
• Generate new ideas and drive problem solving initiatives with focus on continuous improvement.
Professional Qualifications</strong>
• Bachelor’s Degree is desired
• Minimum three plus years manufacturing management experience with knowledge of production processes in high volume manufacturing plant.
• Six sigma, lean implementation, and/or continuous improvement knowledge is preferred.
• Demonstrated strong leadership and people management/development skills to be a change agent.
• Highly motivated and organized individual able to function successfully in a fast paced, cross-functional team environment.
• Proven strong communication skills; Bi-Lingual (Spanish) is a must.
