Description
The Senior Supply Chain Planner will report to the Senior Director of Supply Chain and will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams, including our team in Asia, to ensure successful launch and execution of new products and categories. Additionally, the Senior Supply Chain Planner will be responsible for preparing and maintaining production schedules for our Asia production facilities. This role will help coordinate all aspects of these expansion programs. Ensure alignment and successful execution throughout the entire product launch process. The Senior Supply Chain Planner will be a highly visible, strategically important role with Arden.
Responsibilities
- Holistic operational management across various cross-functional areas.
- Take full ownership/daily management of:
- New facility readiness, production progress and capacity management oversight.
- Full product and line launch oversight working to coordinate all elements such as raw materials, customer requirements, shipping requirements, etc.
- Import production scheduling – establishing smart, coordinated manufacturing schedules throughout the global network.
- Import production capacity planning and production placement.
- Function as the communication link between our Asia facilities and the corporate office, and domestic plant planners/schedulers.
- Manage inventory to reallocate/balance distribution of raw materials/partially or fully finished product to ensure the right materials are in the right place at the right time.
- Alignment with the Sales, Compliance, Engineering, Product Development and Asia teams to ensure all information is handed off appropriately.
- Upstream and downstream team liaison to help with flow of information and problem solve and manage complex manufacturing and execution issues with cross-functional areas.
- Managing research and potential coordination of activities with sourcing initiatives.
- Development of new and additional process/procedure.
Requirements
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a technical, business or other related discipline required (Supply Chain, Production Management/Planning, Management, Manufacturing Technology, or Engineering).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Production Planning role at a plant or corporate level, preference for those with prior Asia planning or international planning experience.
- Ability to function and lead in a collaborative team environment; self-directed, motivated and highly flexible.
- Strong strategic, organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills required.
- Creative and analytic thinker who can easily manage multiple tasks and prioritize work within tight, concurrent deadlines.
- Effective communication skills with all levels of the organization, including an international audience required.
- Ability to fully utilize all Microsoft Office software at an expert level, including Excel (Pivot Tables, vlookups, advanced formulas, macros) and PowerPoint.
