Shipping Clerk Responsibilities:
- Provide Leadership and Support in promoting, implementing, and improvement of all safety policies, programs and 5s initiatives to ensure the health and safety of all employees.
- Report any employee or process concerns to department coordinator or supervisor or manager as applicable.
- Prepare, and verify applicable record keeping (reports, forms, audits, logs, BOL etc.)
- Assist in training and transition of new or transferred employees.
- Promote, support, and participate and enforce all company policies, procedures, and programs fully, fairly, and consistently.
- Analyze facts or circumstances surrounding problems and concerns to determine and recommend possible alternatives and/or corrective action.
- Assist in put away, as well as the loading of trucks.
- Perform duties to complete billing (interplant transfers, order submission, LTL, Truck Load, Scanners, label printing, pick notes, UPS, etc.)
- Perform other duties as assigned by management. Promote, support, and participate in all company policies, procedures, and programs.
Shipping Clerk Requirements:
- Knowledge and/or applicable job experience including ability to drive a forklift
- Knowledge and/or demonstrated leadership experience
- Being able to work unsupervised at times
- Ability to multitask
- Effective verbal and written communication skills. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
- Coordinate assigned personnel and activities and frequent follow-up and follow-through.
- Ability to learn other computer program SAP, Microsoft Office.
- Ability and flexibility to perform assigned tasks in a timely manner and maintain momentum during production changes.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
