The Director of Marketing and Multimedia will lead their team to achieve excellent results in the following disciplines: Retail Industry Insights, Multimedia Trends, Project Management, Presentation Materials/Sales Tools, and Creative Assets for Product Launch (hangtags, box labels, infographics, photography, videography, advertising and social media assets, website development).

Job Duties:

  • You apply your strategic-minded approach to marketing and multimedia beginning with material development, creative process, and thru to implementation.
  • Ensures creative development across multiple marketing mix elements & platforms is aligned to strategies and positioning by actively engaging with our CHB Alignment team.
  • Attracts, leads, manages, and mentors employees in such a way to ensure retention, development, and superior performance of talent (13+ in house team members and freelance support partners as needed)
  • Utilize our systems (including Salesforce, PLM and Review Studio) to drive the workflow of projects
  • Build strong relationships with our studio customers, CHB Leadership and Central Garden & Pet counterparts. Develop and leverage relationships, both internal and external, to develop and pursue the course of action that best supports the season’s strategy for both our Retail partners and Centra owned brands.
  • Manage and plan the department annual budget to ensure financial targets are met.
  • High level of leadership in corporate communications – responsible for setting the right tone and recommending the best format to connect the intended audience.

 

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline preferred.
  • Must have experience as a manager of a large team.
  • Portfolio demonstrating work or leadership in creative direction especially for product marketing including graphic design, photography, and videography
  • Well versed in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Power Point and Excel
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills.  The ideal candidate is highly skilled at initiating conversations and can effectively guide teams to the desired project outcome on schedule.

 

Preferred Candidates also have

  • Experience with tools and workflows in Adobe CC suite including Bridge, Camera RAW, Lightroom, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat
  • Familiarity with NEDGraphics (Easy Map)
  • Working knowledge of textiles and/or home textile product industry
