Central Home Brands, a leading manufacturer and distributor of outdoor patio consumer products and pet beds, has an exciting opportunity for an Supply Chain Manager in Amarillo, Texas.

The Industrial Engineer brings with them an extensive toolbox, wide variety of skill sets and a foundation in problem solving.
This position reports directly to the Plant Manager and will work directly with production in implementing lean manufacturing. They analyze throughput data to help departments improve performance and drive continuous improvement. They are responsible to handle standardized work for future products alongside the core team and help to launch products.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide Leadership and Support promoting, implementing, and improvement of all Safety policies, programs and 5s initiatives to ensure the health and safety of all employees. Emergency Response Leadership, accident/incident reporting and investigating.
- Applies general industrial engineering techniques and concepts to product and process design teams throughout all phases of product lifecycle, resulting in a robust product design and work statement that meets program requirements.
- Manage and optimize a supply chain logistics network by providing leadership and strategic direction to all receiving/shipping supervisors/leads, plant production planner, and inventory personnel.
- Manage and optimize strategic direction to efficiently manage multiple warehouse locations.
- Establish and utilize best methods in creating forecasts and respective inventory targets, management of scheduling of all loads that are shipping in and out of the facility.
- Train, develop, manage, and evaluate department personnel.
- Must be able to perform shipping clerk functions (for training and back up purposes).
- Manage employees, including recommendations on staffing needs, performance feedback, hiring and separations.
- Utilize SAP tools to determine if production will be constrained in future periods.
- Oversee the development of valid production schedules for finished goods and component items based on equipment, labor, and raw material availability.
- Work closely with the production manager to assure completion of an established Production Plan
- Provide vision and leadership for continuous improvement of planning, inventory, production, and shipping techniques, method, and approach.
- Provide training and support as applicable.
- Highly motivated and organized individual with ability to function successfully in a fast paced, cross-functional team environment.
- Perform all duties assigned by management. Promote, support and participate in all company policies, procedures and programs.
- Oversee and assist Warehouse efficiency improvements, warehouse flow, process mapping and resolution.
- Manage levels of raw materials, WIP inventory, finished goods and control and reduce scrap for department.
- Partner with plant and corporate level team members pro-actively supporting problem solving and continuous improvement in all areas of the plant
- Create, maintain and report to upper management on internal performance reports; measure, track, sustain, and improve relevant KPI’s to ensure departmental objectives are met.
- Assist in research, design, development, improvement and implementation of processes to enhance schedule performance, lower cost, and improve quality, through the application of Lean and other Industrial Engineering concepts for large scale systems integration and asset utilization.
- Recommend most efficient distribution of workforce and review daily employee staff, analyze plant methods and standards
- Establish work measurement programs and analyze work samples to develop standards for labor utilization.
- Provide general support to all areas of the Amarillo facility on a daily basis
Education Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain related field or 3 years relatable experience
Required Skills:
- Minimum 3 years of Industrial Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 2+ years Lean Manufacturing experience
- Proven verbal and non-verbal communication skills with all levels of the organization; we’re looking for a people motivator with a coaching style and knowledge of project leadership
- Critical Thinker, must demonstrate accuracy in work, attention to detail, ability to execute quickly
- Strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of production processes in a high-volume manufacturing.
