Description

We are looking for someone to join our team as a Systems Support Technician.

 

Responsibilities

  • End User Support
    • Primary support contact point; triage all tickets as they arrive and attempt to solve those that relate to end user software, hardware, or configuration before escalating
    • Work with users across the company via phone, IM, email, and video message to resolve issues
    • Manage the technical onboarding process for new hires including equipment provisioning, account creation, and initial training
    • Regularly monitor and report on end-user support SLAs
  • Systems and Infrastructure
    • Manage the deployment infrastructure for end-user software via SCCM, Lansweeper, and similar tools
    • Maintain SCCM deployment images keeping OS version, drivers, and applications current
    • Configure, deploy, and maintain printer infrastructure including both standard, design, and label printing systems
    • End-to-end management of the refresh cycle for end-user equipment including laptops, cell phones, Portable RF Scanning equipment, and printers
    • Occasional travel to production facilities across the country for new system deployment and existing infrastructure maintenance

 

Requirements

  • Degree Requirements
    • Bachelor or Associate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems or other related discipline
    • Some education with strong practical experience would be considered
  • System Experience
    • Comfortable supporting Active Directory and other standard Microsoft environment toolsets
    • Familiarity with common network protocols including IPv4, DNS, and DHCP
    • Proficiency with standard Microsoft applications including Word / Excel / Outlook / PowerPoint / Project / Visio / OneNote
  • General Skillset
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Fearless approach to working with new and emerging technologies
    • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively internally and externally in a team environment

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • System / Application Knowledge
    • Familiarity with software deployment tools including SCCM, LANdesk, or Chocolatey.
    • Familiarity with management of backup systems
    • Understanding of and interest in the interaction of hardware and software
    • Familiarity troubleshooting various equipment models and platforms including
    • Experience with virtualization platforms
  • DevOps Knowledge
    • Interest in script development and task automation via PowerShell, Python, or other similar languages
    • Experience with Puppet/Chef or similar configuration automation frameworks
