Description
Offering an exciting growth opportunity on our Design Team for a talented Textile Designer. We are looking for someone who possesses an ability to draw and paint and has excellent color sense balanced with design skills in both Photoshop and Illustrator. Knowledge of NedGraphics is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Develop textile fabric design solutions for the fast paced-retail marketplace
- Color and re-color developed programs
- Stay current with contemporary design styles, fabrics, print and woven technology
- Track and document individual project development per established design control processes
Required Qualifications
- Excellent drawing, design, color, and layout skills
- Proficient in textile design application software Photoshop and Illustrator
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Excellent project management skills with attention to deadlines, ability to multi-task
- Ability to function successfully in a fast paced, ever changing, interactive cross-functional team environment – must be able to give and take direction and work independently
- B.A. or B.S. degree
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Design role
- Knowledge of textile print manufacturing processes, patterns, colorways and repeats
- In-depth knowledge of print and woven manufacturing processes and technology
- Knowledge of NedGraphics is a plus
- Ability to monitor production sample runs and deadlines
