Description
Manager will oversee all aspects of receiving, warehousing, distribution & shipping. Responsible for providing a safe work environment. This manager will be responsible for continually driving process improvements in the above functional areas of responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Provide Leadership and Support in promoting, implementing, and improvement of all Safety policies, programs and 5s initiatives to ensure the health and safety of all employees. Emergency Response Leadership, accident/incident reporting and investigating.
- Manage and optimize the internal supply chain network by providing leadership to shipping and receiving departments and strategic direction to efficiently manage multiple warehouse locations.
- Ensure compliance with DOT requirements for outside drivers and delivery vehicles.
- Train, develop, manage, and evaluate department personnel. Must be able to perform shipping clerk functions (for training and back up purposes).
- Provide leadership to ensure projects are completed on time and the team provides value to our customers.
- Provide vision and facilitation of improvement initiatives and problem solving to improve throughput, quality and cost management. Engage employees to actively participate in a continuous improvement and lean culture.
- Manage employees, including determining staffing needs, performance feedback, hiring and separations; and ensure that such practices conform to ethical and legal standards.
- Actively communicate to all levels of the organization.
- Highly motivated and organized individual who is able to function successfully in a fast paced, cross-functional team environment.
- Provide direct supervision to warehouse and shipping leads, clerks and any Arden truck drivers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree desired or equivalent knowledge and experience.
- Strong analytical, strategic organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of warehousing, shipping and PM & PdM processes in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- SAP Experience a plus.
- Core work hours are from 7:00am to 5:30pm, Monday – Thursday, however Friday and additional hours may be required during peak production.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis
