Description
Working within our Studio team, and in collaboration with our eCommerce team, the Web Designer will be responsible for maintaining all Arden Companies websites. This position is freelance and remote based; however, we see long-term potential to transition to a full-time role as our eCommerce business continues to grow.
Responsibilities
- Launch and maintain Arden websites hosted on WordPress platforms
- Digital Image and Graphic processing for use on the website as needed
- Support on additional projects within the company as needed
- Project communication via Email, Microsoft Teams and using ReviewStudio software
Required Qualifications
- Well versed in WordPress Content Management System and previous experience building multiple WordPress-based sites.
- Understanding of and ability to modify HTML, CSS, and JavaScript within the WordPress platform
- Ability to modify WordPress themes and plugins via PHP to create desired website experience
- Must have reliable internet connection with fast upload and download speeds for efficient file and information exchange
- Self-starter with excellent communication skills and ability to connect remotely via voice and video chat during normal business hours
- Ability to maintain the established quality standards of Arden’s creative team including excellent attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in web design & development
- Portfolio demonstrating proficiencies and past web design projects
- Experience with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator for the purposes of adjusting and exporting content such as images and graphics for the websites.
- Additional interest in photo and video post-production could open the door to a full-time position more immediately (detailed requirements available for qualified candidates)
