Arden Companies’ Machine-Readable Files for Transparency in Coverage Compliance: Table of Contents
In compliance with the Federal Government’s Transparency in Coverage Rule, we are publishing the link below to a machine-readable file (meant for machines, not humans!) that provides access to healthcare pricing information for our group insurance plan through Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBSM). The files include negotiated rates for in-network providers and allowed amounts, as well as historical billed charges for out-of-network providers.
Publishing these files is the first step to bring you transparency in healthcare pricing information. Once the files are made public in this manner across the U.S., third-party machines/bots will be able to access, aggregate, and visualize the data in a way the general public can understand and use to shop between providers before receiving care. The end goal is to empower you to make more informed decisions about your healthcare, and to increase competition and innovation within the industry.
NOTE – It is strongly advised that you DO NOT download any files from the URLs contained in this table of contents unless you know what you’re doing. The files are not meant to be read or interpreted by humans. They may contain close to 1TB (terabyte) of data, which is too large for most personal computers and devices to download.
